Early summer is a time to consider adding to your daylily collection. The multi-coloured perennials, which flower anywhere from the beginning of July to late August, are hardy to Zone 3. Their roots are especially good for preventing erosion on hilly areas. Because they take well to borders, they tolerate both containers and gardens.
