Gourmet garden party menu
For easy entertaining, serve our fabulous make-ahead menu on fine China with your garden as the gorgeous backdrop
There’s something special about eating outdoors. The rustle of trees, the tickle of grass between your bare toes, the great big sky above you; everything just seems to taste better. Nature has a relaxing effect, so take advantage of its soothing setting to throw a delicious lunch the month of May (for Mother's Day perhaps?). Maintain a casual atmosphere with our gourmet make-ahead menu, which uses fresh ingredients, and is served cool. Mix and match tableware to keep it informal and highlight the surrounds with simple decor touches, such as a bouquet of fresh cut flowers. Don’t be surprised when time flies—just make sure to have a second batch of iced mint green tea for late afternoon seconds!
**Menu**
**Iced mint green tea**
Mint green tea is a refreshing and elegant thirst quencher for your garden party.
**Chilled English pea soup with crème fraiche**
Choosing young fresh peas adds the perfect touch of sweetness to the soup.
**Speck-blackberry salad**
Speck, a smoked Italian prosciutto, complements the tart vinaigrette and salty cheese.
**Sweet cheese plate**
Dessert crostinis; grilled bread, infused soft cheese and fruit, are a play on the traditional cheese plate. Delicious spreads to serve:
Quince ricotta with cantaloupe
Maple mascarpone with grilled peach
Citrus mascarpone with caramelized apple and fig
