##RULES AND REGULATIONS##
The Eighth Annual Gardening Life Garden Contest*is provided by *Gardening Life* magazine. All questions regarding the Contest Rules and Regulations should be directed to *Gardening Life* magazine at 111 Queen Street East, Suite 320, Toronto ON M5C 1S2. Complete Contest Rules and Regulations are available online at www.gardeninglife.ca.
**1** Only one entry per person. No purchase necessary. Any person entering more than once will be automatically disqualified. Eligible persons may enter by sending up to 12 colour photographs (no videos or CD please) of either your entire garden or a single aspect of it. Gardens designed by someone other than the owner are not permitted. Please include a short description of your garden, what you enjoy about gardening and some of the challenges you have faced in the garden. Include your name, address, occupation and telephone numbers. Only winners will be contacted.

**2** The contest starts on June 30, 2008 at 12:01 AM ET and ends on December 31, 2008 at 11:59 PM ET.
**3** All entries become the property of Gardening Life magazine and shall not be returned.
**4** Four winners will be selected to win the following corresponding prizes:
One (1) grand prizewinner will receive a three-piece prize package from Lowe’s featuring an aluminum, matte-bronze finished North Haven Dining Set, a black powder-coated Garden Treasures Living 10 x 10 Aluminum Deluxe Gazebo with a water-repellent canopy and a Char-Broil Cast Iron Outdoor Fireplace with a built-in log rack. Retail value: $1,132.
One (1) second prizewinner will receive a Weber Genesis CEP-320 Premium Gas Grill. Retail value: $1,060.
One (1) third prizewinner will receive a 20-piece set from Wedgwood’s Chelsea Garden collection. Retail Value: $330.
One (1) fourth prizewinner will receive a Corinthian Wall Fountain from Garden-Fountains.com. Retail Value: $150.
**5** To be eligible, entries must be received on or before 5:00 p.m. ET on the contest closing date of December 31, 2008. Entries must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2008. *Gardening Life* magazine is not responsible for any entries, which are incomplete, lost, destroyed, delayed, or not transmitted due to technical failure, however caused.
**6** The winners will be notified by July 31, 2009 by phone or email. In the event that a selected entrant does not comply with these Contest Rules and Regulations, or cannot be contacted within 72 hours of the selection, an alternate entrant will be selected from the remaining entries. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received and on the originality of the entrant’s written submission. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. *Gardening Life* magazine reserves the right to substitute any portion of the prize with a prize of equal value whatsoever. All Federal, Provincial and Municipal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
**7** This contest is open to all residents of Canada, including residents of Quebec, and excluding employees of St. Joseph Media and their respective interactive, advertising and promotional agencies, persons with whom any of the above are domiciled and/or members of their respective immediate families.
**8** The Regie des alcools monitors and regulates any contests open to Quebec residents. Any litigation respecting the conduct and organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. Participants in the contest agree to abide by these rules and all decisions of *Gardening Life* magazine and the prize sponsors.
**9** The selected entrants will be required to correctly answer a time limited skill-testing question before being declared a prizewinner. The prizewinner must sign the Waiver/Release of liability as a condition to and in advance of receiving the prize in favour of *Gardening Life* magazine and the other sponsors such that none of them shall be liable for the use or misuse of the prize (a parent or legal guardian will be asked to sign this form on behalf of the selected entrant, if he/she is under the age of 18). *Gardening Life* magazine and the other sponsors assume no responsibility for the participation in the contest, or any liability, claims, demands, actions, loss, damage or personal injury that may be sustained by either the winner of the prize or his/her guest.
**10** Participation in the contest constitutes permission to *Gardening Life* magazine and the sponsors and their agencies to use the name, photograph and/or likeness of the winner (and his/her guest) for purposes of promotion, advertising and trade without further compensation.
**11** By participating in this contest, all entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and Regulations. The decisions of the contest judges are final. *Gardening Life* magazine and the sponsors are not responsible for any typographical error in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest. *Gardening Life* magazine reserves the right to withdraw or terminate the contest at any time without prior notice or to change the Contest Rules and Regulations. Contact or correspondence will occur only with selected entrants. This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations.
