Easy greenhouse makeover

Organic gardener Heather Cameron revives her treasured greenhouse using a few innovative, simple ideas Photos by Janis Nicolay

**Orange you inspired?** This cheerful orange-and-green-striped canvas material was perfect for covering up the additional storage space I needed. We bought simple pine shelving boards, painted them with white exterior paint and attached the fabric with peel-and-stick Velcro (it makes removal for washing easy). I also wanted running water without the trouble of installing plumbing. So we built a work desk and picked up an inexpensive, plastic outdoor sink. Our outdoor hose screws into the faucet, and a bucket underneath collects the water, which can be used in the garden.
