##Window box##
**Ingredients**
* 3 bunches of B.C. cedar
* 2 bunches of B.C. white pine
* 1 small birch reindeer
* 1 bunch of winterberries
* 4 strips of birch bark
* 6 plastic snowflake ornaments
**Instructions**
1. Fill your window box with soil.
2. Layer in evergreen boughs. Remember to drape boughs over the edge of the window box.
3. Place reindeer in the middle of the window box.
4. Insert decorative elements.
##Building Basics## **Filling container with soil**
Start by filling your container with soil, which is easy to work with and holds materials in place. You can use the soil from your summer containers or try a block of floral oasis or foam. Don’t forget that soil freezes, so you’ll have to build your arrangement before the temperature drops. **Layering in evergreen boughs**
To create the container’s form, insert evergreen boughs, working from the centre to the edge of the container. **Adding decorative elements**
Add larger items first (for example, pine cones, proteas, fruit, magnolia leaves) and then round it off with smaller elements such as sprigs of myrtle and winterberries. Complete the arrangement by adding height with willow and dogwood branches. **Attachment Issues** * Most faux fruit comes with a wire attached to the bottom so you can easily secure it to your arrangement. If there’s no wire, use hot glue or push a thin metal skewer into the bottom. * To attach pine cones, stick metal or bamboo skewers into the container and secure the pine cones to the skewers with natural cord.
