Finding the best Christmas tree

Use our field guide to find a tree that suits your needs and style Photos by Laura Arsie

**White Pine**
(*Pinus strobus*) The elegant and graceful white pine is a beautiful tree that has very little aroma (reported to result in fewer allergic reactions). Its soft branches can’t support heavy ornaments, but it’s so stunning it doesn’t need many.
**Needles:** Long, soft and very flexible; about 4 inches long.
**Colour:** Blue to silvery green.
*Look for it at farms and nurseries.*
