Fresh tulip arrangements

Enjoy an entire week’s worth of fringed benefits with these bright ideas for arranging parrot tulips Produced by Sabrina Linn; Photos by Andrew Grinton

##Day 1 - Bending Blooms## Admired for their big blooms and feathered petals, parrot tulips are best arranged in tall, fluted vessels that accommodate their tendency to bend and hang low. Here, three varieties—green and white ‘Super Parrot’, pink-tinged ‘Rai’ and ‘Orange Rococo’— sit in a complementary orange pedestal vase. Like all bulbs, tulips should be placed in cold (not lukewarm) water. *Vase, HomeSense; paint on wall: Jack O’lantern (2156-30), Benjamin Moore.*
