A Quebec couple carves out a rural masterpiece showcasing their passion for contemporary art

Nurturing a young family and starting a business can consume a lot of time and creative energy. Small wonder then that when they moved from western Canada to Hudson, Que., 30 years ago, the owners of this now lush idyll gave the grounds around their new home little thought. The sinewy form of a rusty metal sculpture called Tango, by Saskatchewan artist Scott McLeod, is beautifully set off by lawn, curvaceous cedar hedges and hostas on the forest edge.
