High Art

The works of Notable painter Vivian Reiss can be described as full, large-scale and vibrant. So it’s no wonder she brings the same intriguing free-form aesthetic to her towering edible garden, which she lovingly starts from scratch each year

Perhaps more important, though, is her affinity for fine art, specifically oil painting. Reiss’ work has appeared in more than 50 shows over the years (32 of them one-woman shows) and her pieces are featured in private and corporate collections in more than 15 countries. She also owns Toronto’s V. Reiss Gallery, which showcases many of her works, ranging from commissioned portraits to lush landscapes to joyful still lifes.

Reiss works on Garden Triptych #1.
