Luxury suite

The livin’ is easy in a series of stunning outdoor rooms that mesh the old with the new Photos by Angus McRitchie; Styling by Beth Gold

##The Living Room## Guests are immediately drawn to this spot, tucked beneath a permanent rainproof canvas “roof.” Sleek resin wicker furniture, laid out to mimic an indoor living room, invites lingering conversation over coffee or cocktails. Webster chose the durable pieces by German manufacturer Dedon in a delicious shade of chocolate-bronze, complemented with pillows in cream and cocoa. “I prefer accents in a neutral tone because they integrate better with the outdoors,” he says. The aluminum-framed structure extends the entertaining season, offering cooling shade in summer and warm coziness in spring and fall. Canvas curtains conceal the posts and can be pulled shut for warmth or privacy. Gathered to the side, they perfectly frame the views over the garden’s lower tiers. **Rounded boxwoods in contemporary zinc planters complement the living room furniture’s crisp geometry.**
