## Bringing the indoors out
As part of the movement to extend gardens as interior spaces, you may want to consider a custom-built outdoor fireplace, bylaws permitting, as a decking extension. Surrounded by comfy outdoor chairs, you can literally entertain in an outdoor “living room.” Another popular trend is building a fully functional kitchen (refrigerator, grill, cupboards) on your deck. Add an outdoor heater and you can whip up alfresco meals through fall.
