Package Deal

Several high-functioning zones in a Montreal garden create one idyllic space

The yard was already enclosed by a tall, wooden fence on one side, the wall of a neighbour’s studio on the other, and the brick garage at the end. So, creating an updated “enclosure” simply meant sandblasting the garage wall to restore the original red brick (which now echoes the warm brick of the house), and softening the fence and wall with garlands of Virginia creeper. **Catching both eye and ear, the pond featuring three splashing fountains was built of concrete with a sandblasted finish.**
